Packing
June Week note: Please bring and use only fragrance-free products (soap, shampoo, conditioner, and skin lotion) (We do place fragrance-free products in the bathrooms.)
Here are things to consider bringing to camp:
- Bedding (pillows; sheets and blankets or sleeping bag, an extra pad if desired)
- Towels for bath and beach
- Blanket or sheet for beach, picnic, or use as a curtain (clips or tacks)
- Clothes line or rope for drying out towels etc.
- Clothing for varied weather (usually fine but can be hot, chilly, or wet); layers are recommended
- Factor predicted temperatures when choosing dance outfits. For June Week, note that some dancing takes place outside. [For June Week, a pre-camp letter will note a fashion theme for the final evening dance that many choose to adopt (for example, wearing polka dots)]
- Consider clothes you might need for other activities (exercise, yoga, hiking, biking, swimming)
- Shoes for hiking, rocky beach, and water.
- Shoes for dancing – non-marking shoes for the wooden floor (no outside shoes in the dance hall)
- Sun hats, sunglasses, sunscreen
- Rain gear
- Personal effects (toothbrushes, hairdryer, fragrance-free toiletries)
- Rx drugs or medicines you regularly take
- Rx for the unexpected (band-aids, pain relievers, allergy, bee sting, insect repellent)
- Water bottles; coffee mug
- Flashlights & batteries
- Camera
- Musical instruments (spare strings, picks, etc.); Songs or tunes you may wish to share
- Music recorder
- Books and games for quiet times
- Note: Cellphone service is spotty; WiFi is available but the bandwidth is narrow
